March: Jim Owens, a compassionate fighter If you want to see the personification of the word "resolve" you need to meet my new friend of one week, the amazing Jim Owens. For nearly two hours last week Jim and I shared our stories. For him, he's in the midst of his third reoccurence of brain cancer with many unanswered questions, yet he still took time to listen to my story of stable health. Jim has been one of Lance Armstrong's fellow cyclists on the Bristol-Myers Squibb Tour of Hope, and he is raising money for cancer research via other rides and events. Not only did Jim exude his quiet resolve at winning once again, he was one of the most compassionate listeners I've encountered in a long time.
